I have this gig where I work merchandising for NASCAR races. It’s nothing special, set up sell merchandise handle large amounts of money and then counting inventory. It’s all the glory of retail... on wheels. I will say though that NASCAR has to be the white man's Mecca. It is incredible the people that come out and from how far they come just to see a few cars go round and round in a circle... or oval. So, in traditional style here are some things I learned from working the race.
1) Mullets never died... they still live strong in parts of Ohio and Alabama
2) Armpit hair is attractive and should be shown, even for women
3) If something is on sale / marked down, it must be bought.
4) It is ok for women to wear another man’s name / brand themselves with another man’s name as long as said man races.
5) NASCAR paraphernalia is more important than one's missing teeth.
6) Slap NASCAR on anything and it will sell regardless of how:
Ugly it is.
Tacky it is.
Much it costs.
It fits (because if we are out of XXLarge, they believe that XLarge or even *shudders* Large will fit).
7) White folk en mass... scare me.

Just because we're white...

Just because we're white doesn't automatically make us NASCAR fans. Most of us don't even have mullets, believe it or not.
