As a part of my mini-break, I'll be moving my Machine over to Vista Ultimate this week. Apart from the normal upgrade scariness, anyone got anything I should be really worried about?
I've been running it in Virtual PC for testing with all my hardware and most of my apps, and it seems alright. I've got the hang of tweaking security (!@%@#$ User Account Control) but I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed anything or just has anything to say!

I've seen some people run benchmarks showing that Vista is decidedly slower in performance than XP on the same box. I've also known a couple people with networking issues with it - something about dynamic packet sizing conflicting with Stateful Packet Inspection on home routers causing the network connection to frequently drop. Seemed to be a real pain to deal with. The easiest workaround is to disable SPI on your router - which some routers don't let you do and you really don't want to disable it anyway since it's a nice security feature.
All that coupled with the driver issues I've heard about tell me to wait until the next big service pack is issued before thinking about upgrading.
