Website Call To Action

Guys, in the three months we've been together as a guild, I think we've been doing pretty good. So far the website has 57 registered users, and there are close to 200 registered toons. That's awesome! Doesn't anyone else think so?

I know last year, early December, there was lots of activity in the website, but it looks like it's starting to die off. That's not to say that the guild itself is not active. I know we have a lot of activity and events in game. So I have a question to ask. What can I do to make the website more effective for everyone?

Is there not enough interaction from everyone to keep conversations going? Is the website itself keeping people from wanting to comment or post new things? Is it hard or confusing to upload images, or put new posts on the homepage? Make things sticky? Don't understand how to add Images? Link to images? Post blog posts? Other things that you guys thing would be good to have?

Some of the things I want to get to are:

  1. I know that adding events can be a little confusing, specially that the timing always tends to be off. I'll try to work on that.
  2. I want to have a page that gets automatically refreshed with information from warcraftrealms that shows guild membership in game.
  3. Tweak the look and accessibility of the site in general. I've already started with this one. I hope everyone likes the changes to the threads that i've done so far. Though, it wasn't as complete as I thought it would have been.

Lets get this conversation started. I've seen a couple of guild sites that have lots of images and active front pages. It looks like they have a very active community. Which is what I'm hoping we can do with our site, make a very active community of fun loving wow players. Tell me what I need to do, I feel I'm failing you guys in bringing an awesome guild site!

I think Pallas has the right idea, everyone is focusing on BC..exploreing it, getting alts leveled for it, freaking out becasue they need to gain ten more levels.

Right now everyone is just focused on playing BC, soon they will have settled down a bit and start coomeing here to talk about BC and then we shodul see a lot more activity.

I plan to come one and tlak a lot more from here on. I hadnt been posting uch becasue Im dumb and couldnt remeber my password..but now I have it written down in an easily accesable place from my computer.

It has been a constant struggle as long as I have been playing warcraft just getting more people to register. While we are doing relay well to have as much of the guild registerd as we do I think this is one area were we could see some accomplishment. We shoudl [probaly open a discussion and see what we can do to help our memebers realise how much benifit they can recieve from discussing things on here. SImple things like the fact that posting for a dungeon run here will be more effective than simply asking for help in guild chat and hopeing that the right people are on to make it work.
