So you may have noticed that I have been somewhat absent the past few months. There are several reasons for this, but the main 2 are that 1) My play time is limited due to work and family obligations, and 2) I feel, honestly, a little burned out. So I am going to do what duty dictates. I am going to cede my council position to another, more active member. Before I go, I'd like to make some nominations for replacements:

Athane - truly embodies the spirit of the guild.
Kruppe - a real steady and loyal presence in the guld.

Take them for what they're worth.

I have not decided, as Kithedance has, to be "done with WoW". I will say, however, that I am not interested in raid content and I am not interested in guild politics/drama. I know that there are plenty of people eager to test their mettle in a leadership role. Hopefully my departure will allow them to do so.

It has been a pleasure to serve with each of you and I wish you all the best.

My decision to leave is not based on a problem with anyone in the guild. In fact, I have been blessed to have made the associations I have! I just realize that my work, my family, and my RL friends have to take precident over game time. That means that I can't devote the time to guild administration that Ronin deserves.

As I said, I know that there are deserving people out there who have the skills (and the time) to allow the guild to flourish. I would far rather pass the mantle to one of them than languish.

On that note: I will need a volunteer to establish a new Ventrilo server if the guild cares to use one. It's rather cheap to set up and I would be happy to do the footwork if someone is interested. Otherwise, Skype now allows up to 10 players at a time, so that is an attractive free option.

I will continue to fund the server through June, then I will cease my contract. I believe we pay $10.95/month for our 30-slot server.

Please don't hurl eggs at me for stepping down. It has been a difficult choice, but I believe the guild will be better off in the long-term.
